Lifespan is the premier healthcare system in Rhode Island. It is the home of the state’s only Level 1 Trauma Center and the Principal Teaching Hospital of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Lifespan is Brown Emergency Medicine’s clinical partner. The Lifespan Medical Simulation Center is a 4,200-square foot facility that began operation in 2002. The space is composed of flexible simulation spaces, control rooms, and debriefing rooms.  It is equipped with AV recording technology, high fidelity mannequins, task trainers, and works regularly with standardized patients. It serves learners including medical students, residents, nurses, pre-hospital providers, and other practicing professionals.
